Summary: Staying here felt like a dreamy escape into nature. It was as if we were sleeping among the treetops! The lush surroundings and panoramic views over Kingston were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were full of charm, evoking that classic, old-school Jamaican vibe that made the experience feel authentic and cozy. Service was attentive and warm, and the food? Simply delicious! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Jamaica. My photos does not do it justice! Important Note on the Drive to the Property The road leading to the property is quite narrow and can feel a bit intimidating, especially if you’re not an experienced driver. Since the location is high up in the mountains, expect steep climbs, winding hills, and stretches without guardrails. Use caution, take your time, and be prepared for a scenic—but challenging—drive.

Summary: The property is gorgeous, staff is very friendly and amenities are top tier. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 is due to the experience I had with the transfer service offered by the hotel. Not only was the driver very fast going up hill and no where in communications with the hotel was the cost of the transfer mentioned. Go for the spa & restaurant but arrange your own transportation.

Summary: Strawberry Hill is just the most fantastic location with spectacular views and a really relaxed vibe. The hotel itself is a little tired now and whilst couldn’t really be called luxurious in today’s world has a unique and impressive back story. Top marks here should go to the gardeners for their quite stunning work, the chef and cooking staff who made a pretty good effort and housekeeping who always made our room up very nicely each day. It’s a little pricey in the bar and the wine is dreadfully expensive. Pool was very well maintained and a lovely place to just drift off in the afternoon.
